Your hosts are Lis Pedersen, Chris Bennett and Tia. Lis and Chris “discovered” New Zealand in the early 1980′s and love their adopted country with a passion. Lis carries a Danish passport and grew up all over the world. Chris is Canadian by birth – and has spent his career working in many developing countries. Our shared joy is the outdoors – which is why we love living in the Nelson region.
Lis is originally a cardiac rehabilitation nurse and continues her interest in healthy lifestyle choices. Her hobbies include silk painting, cooking and baking, and spending time in the outdoors while hiking, cycling, kayaking and gardening.
Chris is a Senior Transport Specialist with the World Bank building transport infrastructure in developing countries. In his spare time he races triathlons. Currently he has just completed an Ironman triathlon on every continent and is about to race the Great Divide for the second time. Chris is obsessed with bikes – whether it’s building them, repairing them or taking adventurous biking trips like cycling the Continental Divide from Canada to Mexico. He is also into computers and built this web site.
Tia is our much adored fluffy. She’s been with us through thick and thin for the past 14 years and thankfully is showing no signs of slowing down. Provided you are a tummy scratcher she will be a very attentive host.
